
I am very interested in being hired for the position of Customer Service Officer. The time I spent in the 311 Communication Center as well as the extensive experience I have gained over my entire career working for County of Sacramento including 12 years at Sacramento County Sheriff would make me a well rounded candidate. During the time that I worked in 311 Communication Center I became more included in the budget. I assisted the Customer Service Chief in budget preparation by providing current needs in the Comm Center as well as researching the particular dispatch equipment and made cost comparisons. I kept track of all equipment. I helped determine what was needed versus what could wait depending on the budget: for example radio consoles, back up radio consoles etc. I made suggestions about what we should or shouldn't purchase when it came to time to replace equipment that was end of life etc. depending of course upon the funds available and what our funds/budget was. I created new dispatching steps and trained the staff on them. I trained staff on all procedures. I worked closely with all departments and attended all meetings to discuss their needs. I triaged a myriad of issues emergency and non emergency on a daily basis. I am skilled in Comm Center management, scheduling of staff and collaboration. I am comfortable working in fast paced environment.
I am currently an Administrative Services Officer I and I am embedded in the Department of Human Assistance, I have the responsibility of addressing facility issues, I input Contractor and Student Intern information in the SacTime System as well as enter payroll information into the Compass System, I run Compass reports for Managers and make edits to employee payroll as needed. I order equipment and all supplies for our facility. I assist in the hiring process for personnel by reaching out to candidates and scheduling interviews while keeping a spreadsheet and recording results for future need. My department is very heavy in the coordination of hiring activities. I am learning to navigate the Adaptive Resources System for creating department budgets and also the Manifest System to search for Hardware and Software assigned to employees. I update the Contractor Org Chart monthly to be added to the DTECH Org Chart. I am comfortable using the Telephone Service Request System for telephonic requests as well as several systems used specifically for our department. We have recently gone through a major construction and I took on the responsibility of many additional tasks in relationship to this project.

Assisted on compiling budget estimate information for supply and equipment
requirements for communications center for Motorola Radio / communications equipment etc. made
recommendations to management based upon the estimates taking into consideration of equipment nearing end of life etc. I performed dispatching as needed during crises. Participated in the creation of a new Oracle System for the Comm Center use. I created that major portion of the Knowledge Base Articles for our department.
As a shift leader I was responsible for leading, planning, scheduling and overseeing the work of the Communication Operations Dispatchers.
For issues that arose I would analyze the situation and determine the best course of acton to resolve it.
I worked as a dispatcher operating a two way radio console, multi line telephones and contact county personnel that would typically work alone in the during evening and weekend hours to check on their welfare and personal security.
I compiled the Comm Center Statistics
Monitored county radio tower equipment and systems and responded to emergency situations by dispatching the appropriate personnel.
I would operate the Mobile Communications Van if it was necessary in times of crises
Monitored burglary and fire alarms systems throughout the county and dispatched the appropriate personnel, Fire or Law Enforcement
