Jade Swinford is a 2023 graduate of Gadsden City High School. She earned her associate degree from Gadsden State Community College in 2025, and will transfer to the University of Alabama in Huntsville to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Music Technology, with a minor in Business Administration.
Jade began her musical training in 2015, studying voice and piano under Cheryl Stafford Moorer. While attending Gadsden Middle School, she expanded her musical foundation by studying cello and viola under Claudia Shelton, and later added flute and oboe under the instruction of Brian Bankston. Throughout high school, she continued to focus on viola while also learning violin and guitar.
She has been a dedicated member of the Etowah Youth Orchestra since 2017 and joined the Jacksonville State Civic Symphony in 2019. In the summer of 2023, she became a member of the Gadsden Symphony Orchestra. Jade has also performed as a fiddle player in local theater productions, including the Theatre of Gadsden’s 2023 presentation of Always... Patsy Cline and the Whole Backstage Theatre’s production of Bright Star.
Jade developed strong organizational and coordination skills within fast-paced office environment, transitioning into new field. Demonstrated ability to manage spreadsheets, handle correspondence, and support team projects effectively. Looking to leverage these transferrable skills to add value and drive results in different industry.
