• I was tasked with managing anywhere from 1-20+ kids at a time from ages 0-12
• I handled check in and check out of kids and consulted daily with their parents/caregivers, listening closely to any specific health/safety/care requests so as to ensure the best care for their children during their time under my watch, as well as to discuss activities and behaviors of each child.
• I provided an array of stimulating activities and games to do with the kids including music/dance sessions, arts and crafts, sports activities, story-time etc..
• I created safe and engaging learning environment for groups of diverse children with various learning styles.
• Some of my daily tasks included diaper-changes/bathroom training, thorough disinfecting/wipe-down of toys and surfaces, organizing books/toys, prepping new activities/crafts for the next shift/day, opening or closing out the POS system of all kids checked in and out for the day, to ensure proper money transfer to the company
• An extension of this position included a periodical teaching position in the pre-school system of the club
• Members of LSF could send their children to the "peewee" program in which kids spent a more extended period of time in our care
• During this time I aided in the instruction/ of several pre-school skills, as well as helped with potty-training, snack & lunch management, craft-time, swim-class, outdoor-play, and free-play.
• I sanitized dishes, tabletops, toys and frequently touched surfaces to prevent spreading of germs.
• I enforced rules and managed behavior through developmentally appropriate discipline.
• I promoted good behavior with positive reinforcement methods.

• Since adolescence I have always offered my self services of babysitting/childcare to families around the city of Chicago and my neighborhood, watching children aged 0-12
• I make anywhere from 15-25 an hour from this job and provide care to kids, neighboring the care and kindness of their parents/primary caretakers
• I manage mealtimes and make sure to take into account dietary restrictions and taste preferences
• I also manage hygiene for the kids as well including bath-time, dental health, diaper-changes, potty training, etc..
• For longer days I manage all these things in addition to bedtime routine as well
• I provide an array of activities for kids to do to keep them stimulated
• I provide/facilitate arts and crafts activities often tailored to a child's interest or certain holidays
• I spend time with them developing problem-solving, critical-thinking, memory, and gross motor skills, through physical activities/sports, math/reading practice, building/constructing with toys/lego/magnet-tiles, dance/music sessions, and exposure to new/novelty ideas/concepts for diversity and immersion
• I also regularly take kids outside/ to the park for social interaction development and physical play.
• I help children complete homework assignments and school projects.
• I Communicate positively with children and guardians.

• During my time at Lakeshore SF I also spent several period of time as a camp counselor for their summer/ winter break camp programs
• In this role I worked with kids aged 5-12 in providing an entertaining and eventful day of fun activities from morning until afternoon/evening pick-up
• (often I would stay for after-camp as well.)
• In this position I checked kids in and out of camp and made sure to keep track of the numbers of children we had during the day
• Counselors managed lunch as well and were tasked with keeping track of allergies and other food related issues
• I collaborated with other camp counselors to design fun and enriching learning activities for campers.
• I assisted in swim classes for the kids and made sure to keep them safe in the water as well
• I communicated with parents about campers' activities and reported concerns and suggestions to supervisor.
• As a counselor I also offered several activities (circle games, board/card games, sports, gym games, dance parties, etc...) throughout the day to keep the kids happy
• I delivered first aid for accidents and injuries in compliance with established procedures to promote campers' well-being and health.
• Counselors also often took the kids on trips to the playground or other excursions; mini-golf, enchanted castle, the beach, etc..
• I supervised pre-planned field trips and followed established safety guidelines to minimize campers' accident and injury risks.
• Another extension of the camp/childcare work was assisting at family events that the club threw for the members
• During events we helped set up materials and activities/booths for families to partake in
• We then managed those activities during the event which involved consistent interaction with families and often their kids, as to keep them engaged and interested in those activities
• Once events ended we helped pack up all the equipment and booths and any other event related materials for the day.

• As a hostess I was in charge of coordinating a logistical schedule of customers and seating arrangements that worked best for the space, patrons, and employees
• I did so using a virtual seating arrangement tablet and booking software to help keep track of who goes where and when
• In this role I also had to interact with customers over the phone and in person in a respectful/cordial and inviting manner
• As a waitress, the skills used as a hostess were carried over to this new position
• Greeted new customers, discussed specials and took drink orders.
• Along with maintaining good social/communication skills with diners, I also had to interact well with kitchen staff and other waiters
• Collaborated with kitchen staff to correctly update customers on unavailable dishes and wait times.
• I maintained customer satisfaction with timely table check-ins to assess food and beverage needs.
• I had to move in a fast manner as well to help bus tables and smoothly transition from customer to customer
• I stayed up-to-date on menu changes to help customers make food choices.
• I resolved guest and employee complaints to maintain complete customer satisfaction and workforce effectiveness.
• I used cash registers and credit card machines to cash out customers.
• I also was typically the server who managed the receipts, totaled daily income, and closed the monetary books in the POS systems at the end of the day.

I have completed 43 out of 45 required credits and have only two more credits to acquire this upcoming quarter before I graduate.
