At UPS my shift would start around 4am. I would come in and load 3 trucks with customers merchandise. These items could weigh up to 150 pounds such as microwaves, TVs, etc. The merchandise would come around in Bins that were color coded, so that we would know which bins were ours. We would read the labels on the merchandise and the chart on the trucks to know how to load the truck for the smoothest ride possible. Here at UPS the work was fast paced and I never got a break, but I enjoyed it. It kept me active and made me focus. If I wasn’t loading the trucks with customers merchandise I was unloading the big trucks. This consisted of me and maybe one removing merchandise out of the truck and placing it on the line. These trucks had a variety of packages all sizes & shapes. We had very little time so we had to work quickly and efficiently.
Here at Walmart my job was to unload trucks. There would be a team of me and a few others. We would take the product off the line and put them on the designated pallet quickly and efficiently. After completely unloading the truck, we would did use a pallet Jack to take the merchandise to the sales floor where we would stock it. On the sales floor customers would ask for help and it was our duty to assist them whenever they needed it.
