As Regional Sales Manager I was responsible for starting our business in a new location. This included prioritizing our prospects and helping our clients through the process of building their custom-designed home. As the central point of contact, I was responsible for guiding our customers and co-workers through all facets needed to achieve a favorable contract. My functional leadership instilled the trust needed with all parties (the clients' banks, manufacturing reps, contractors, and County inspectors) to build the house that met our customers' expectations.
I went to Gateway Homes towards the end of its second year of existence. One of my first clients was a lady whose house had burned. I helped her buy our two-story model home. This enabled us to put together an extraordinary change to our business model. I lead our team and we built an absolute "head turner" that produced countless versions and many contracts. But more than that: it helped our prospects understand that we could build their custom plan. Our profits exceeded all expectations! But after a near seven year run our pipeline soon out-weighed our "can do". This steered our Owner to put the property for sale and start his "early retirement" from the Modular business.
