• Currently under an awarded contract to develop/initiate a K9 integration course and Advanced Course of Instruction for Three regional SWAT teams in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• This will also encompass training over 35 Patrol K9 teams total throughout the year in advanced tactics and training.
• Consultant for the DOJ ATF SRT K9 program. Responsible for in-service training, certifications and problem solving issues on an as needed basis.

• Provides definitive and authoritative technical advice and training to SRT canine Handlers and other officials of national and international agencies at all levels of Government, as well as military units stationed throughout the United States.
• Provides technical coordination to facilitate the teaching of the full range of skills, theories and tactics in the field of SRT canine training and enforcement.
• Serves as a tactical canine instructor for technical subjects in classroom and field exercise settings for students from the agency and other Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and any other designated off-site locations.
• Performs foundation training with SRT canines.
• Conducts and oversees initial testing of canines for behavioral suitability and physical traits for potential purchase.
• Presents reports, technical papers, speeches, presentations, and briefings concerning the program and capabilities to management.
• Review and amend K9 training logs to ensure all K9 teams are logging training hours uniformly and address any deficiencies with the Handler.
• Coordinate and facilitate yearly all hands training, organize training with outside agencies, especially those that train with current SRT K9's.
• Coordinate and implement training schedules during SRT Quarterly training with all Five SRT teams.
• Track and approve all K9 training equipment, T&E any new equipment that would improve the safety and performance of the SRT K9 Program. Provide feedback to the PM and the unit.
• Track all K9 legal issues and case law and disseminate to each K9 team.

• Specialize in advising and training Special Operations Soldiers in utilizing K9's in locating and engaging hostile adversaries, to include armed subjects, and explosive threats to the force. This includes the selection, and training dogs to meet the above stated mission, coupled with the necessary control and obedience needed.
• Selecting and training Explosive Detection dogs, and their handlers. This task includes the handling and accounting for the explosive training aids, maintaining proper inventories and supporting documentation.
• Design, prepare, deliver and conduct continuing training for canines, trainers and handlers to perform at a high skill level.
• Conduct all phases of bite work to include any type of searches and tactical movements with other members of an assault or entry team.
• Streamline media product development where necessary to enhance the responsiveness to emergent requirements regarding training and curriculum development.
• Coordinate with MWD Division Supervisory Program Analyst and perform a wide variety of training, administrative and logistics functions. Resolve complex problems while performing interagency coordination, liaison, sharing and project development with the NSW community, USSOCOM, DOD and other government agencies.
• Lead Five or more employees in the training and handling of MWD's. Distribute and balance the workload among employees in accordance with established work flow. Monitor the status of progress of work, and makes day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities. Estimate and report on expected time and completion of work, and maintains records of work accomplishments. Instruct subordinates in specific tasks and job techniques. Make available written instructions, reference materials and supplies. Support MWD training events acting as Safety Officer and MWD training coordinator. Give on the job training to new employees; answer questions on procedures, policies and directives. Check on work progress or spot checks work not requiring review; reviews completed work to see that the supervisors instructions have been met. Amend or rejects work not meeting established standards. Monitor working conditions such as having proper materials available, safety etc.
• Resolve simple, informal complaints of employees and refers other more serious matters to the supervisor. Report to the supervisor on performance, progress, training needs, and/or behavior problems of employees. Provide information to the supervisor concerning promotions, reassignments, recognition of outstanding performance, and personal needs.

• Handled a Duel K9 on approximately 30 missions with a SOF Unit OCONUS
• Maintained proficiency of K9's and Handlers in Two AOR's. OCONUS
• Tested and evaluated arriving K9's and Handlers for overall readiness in a battlefield environment.
• Corrected, re-shaped and trouble shot deficiencies in theater.
• Build new capabilities and rapid prototyping of assets against changing battlefield requirements.
• Improved man tracking and trailing skills of K9's and Handlers in the desert.
• Kennel manager-provide animal care, tracked, and coordinated all kennel and veterinary care.
• Managed training schedules and training records; tracked each Handler and K9's capabilities for improvement.
• Provide broad range K9 subject matter expertise to K9 Handlers along with command and committed military forces to include SF.

K9 Handler/Trainer:

• Scheduled and conducted monthly/quarterly training with S.W.A.T. in search team tactics, entries and perimeter containment.
• Scheduled and conducted interdepartmental training sessions.
• Performed functions of a K9 Handler.
• Performed functions of an Explosive Detection K9 Handler.
• Performed functions of a Dual purpose/weapon recovery Canine Handler.
• Conducted proactive, reactive, and threat level searches on an assigned basis citywide in all three functions listed.
• Performed emergency call-out searches as needed.
• Conducted over Two Thousand live K9 searches, over Three Hundred resulting in the capture of suspects.
• Conducted over Five Thousand K9 Training Searches over this span of time
• Taught over One Hundred Basic Courses of K9 Instruction over this time period, the majority of which were with new K9's building initial foundation.
• Testified as an expert witness on numerous K9 related cases including dog bites in both Superior Court, Federal, Civil and Juvenile court cases. All within the county of Los Angeles CA.

Police Officer/Field Training Officer:

• Uniform and plain clothes assignments with Metropolitan Division. Citywide crime suppression, surveillance, stakeouts, warrant execution with low and high risk entries.
