• My students’ growth rate on the District Developed Assessments for Physics was 52% higher that the District Average Growth Rate for Physics. My students grow from an average result of 38.2% on the beginning-of-the-ear pre-Assessment to an average result of 77% on the end-of-course post-Assessment.
• Led the 8th grade level team in writing IB units and on transitioning to effectively teaching a 1:1 device environment. My students achieve growth that exceeded the NWEA growth targets. despite the challenges of virtual classrooms.
• Achieved a 67% passing rate on the Indiana GQE Algebra I End-of-Course Assessment in South Bend. A result that was a 36% improvement from the prior year's result. Developed an Algebra Enrichment curriculum in South Bend that resulted in a 100% passing rate for upperclassmen who were re-testers for the Indiana GQE Algebra I End-Of-Course Assessment. This resulted in 69 additional seniors (25% of the class) being able to graduate on time with their class.
• Member of a Team of teachers who collaborated to develop the first interdisciplinary school-within- a-school STEM Academy in Paterson Public Schools District. Implemented an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning that focused on 21st Century skills. 100% of the students in the STEM Academy graduated from High School and went on to college. A graduation result that was 30 % higher than the school's overall graduation rate and a college attendance rate that was 45% higher than the school's overall college attendance rate.
• Collaborate staff in developing numerous initiatives to achieve instructional focus and increase student achievement: that resulted in our school transitioning from the lowest-performing to the highest-performing school in the corporation.
