In 2003, I was hired by CHEP USA as its first and only full-time employee in Hawaii.
I was responsible for establishing the awareness and ownership rights of our equipment pooling program with businesses receiving or using our proprietary pallets throughout the Hawaii supply chain.
Developed the recovery and transportation network to get our leased equipment back from businesses on all islands, into our service center on the Island of Oahu, by contracting local trucking and recycling companies.
Maintained a steady flow-through of our reported assets into Hawaii and back into our pallet pool, through efforts by my statewide recovery network.
Managed the daily business of our Hawaii operations through cross-functional collaboration with various departments within CHEP.
Provided face-to-face support for those departments that did not have a person based in Hawaii to address any customer issues at the local level.
