Since becoming a supervisor I have been responsible for managing hourly personnel's day to day via worklists and deckplate supervision, and verifying and authorizing of danger tags and work control boundaries to maintain worker safety. I am responsible for scheduling and coordinating testing and construction efforts between multiple departments to ensure deadlines are met such as Float Off, Steaming, and Panel cleaning. Deconflicted schedules and support other testing departments such as Nuclear Test, NPES, CWIT, and Ship's force to ensure all goals are being accomplished. I was responsible for training and delegating work to three junior supervisors which in turn put work out to the crew. I was responsible for scheduling work and was responsible for briefing all electrical work to the department's manager. Worked with engineering and electricians to rapidly correct deficiencies to meet key events and maintained the shipyard PMS schedule prior to OPCON of components to ships force. During my time as a supervisor I have developed leaderships by taking charge of multiple different crews, strong communication skills by successfully coordinating between multiple departments to achieve key events, and maintained I high level of virginia class submarine knowledge and shipyard procedures and practices through training of new salary and hourly personnel.
I served on the USS Virginia from 2013 to 2017 as an electricians mate. During that time I completed my basic submarine qualifications and qualified my senior watchstation. During that time I was placed in charge of my division gage calibration program and maintain records and reporting logs for the ship's battery.
