  • Supports the Department of Student Affairs with their computer and technology needs. Diagnosis and repair of technology within the department to allow those supported to have all functionality needed to perform their job duties and support the students at the University.
  • Designs and implements improvements for Student Affairs Information Technology which includes deployment of the departmental Windows images and security update deployments to keep all computers maintained and updated in accordance to best practices.
  • Works with DoIT for improvements to processes and quick resolution of issues with networks and phones through the departments under Student Affairs.
  • Updates and improves processes that allow the Student Affairs Information Technology team to support the department in a way that is more effective and with the most efficient use of the technician's time
  • Works with the Student Affairs Information Technology technicians to improve processes with feedback from the technicians using the tools created and provide additional support to them with more complex issues.
  • Created documentation for processes the Student Affairs Information Technology staff for new software and processes implemented.

  • Supported and set standards for Admissions Technology with computers and software.
  • Database Administrator for the Student Information system EMAS Pro. This was used by the department for the processing of incoming freshmen and transfer students. Worked with the vendor of this product for support, upgrades and gave feedback for improvements.
  • Worked with the Admissions business office for ordering of replacement equipment and to research the options for the best models for the departmental use.
  • Diagnosed and supported all technology and software used within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Hired and managed the student workers that were used in the Admissions IT Department. Provided tasks and gave the student workers flexibility in their completing of projects with supervision.
  • Created and maintained the Disaster, Recovery and Prevention Plan (DRPP) for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This included backups of the EMAS Pro SQL database that could be quickly moved to a backup server that we had in hosted in the Student Affairs IT Suite in Russell House 400 Suite
  • Created documentation for processes and training classes for the Admissions Deparment for new software and systems.

  • Preformed troubleshooting and repair of equipment though the departments supported under the UTS (DoIT) service level agreement.
  • Worked on the Service Desk in the morning before switching to the Desktop Support side of the department; giving phone support to those calling the Service Desk from 6 AM - 8:30 AM. This included disabling rogue DHCP routers plugged in by students, assisting with password resets, installation of software and end user support with the mainframe (CMS/IMS)

  • Gardening - Plant and work with an annual garden in the spring. Enjoy the challenge where you have to plan ahead with preparing the soil for the plans, plant the seeds and then patiently wait to see if the effort spent pays off with the sprouts of the new plants showing through the soil. From there you still need to support and water the plants that are growing with care.
  • Golfing - Recently took this up with my father and it is a challenge to get the ball to fly straight when hit. This is a sport that teaches humility as you are never as good as you think you are when out on the course.
  • Computer Gaming/Development - Creation of some of the most popular mods for Baldur's Gate 3, with over 2 million users of the mod.
