The Supervisor, Maintenance of Way position is responsible for planning, supervising, directing, reviewing and evaluating the work of staff in the inspection, maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and repair over wayside, Traction power, signal, track and Fare collection of the light rail system. Typical duties: Oversee maintenance and repair of rail traction electrification, signal and communication systems, facilities, track way and other right of way properties, inspections, preparation of cost estimates, inventory, record keeping, and safety.
The Signal Systems Technician performs complex and varied duties in the maintenance and repair of signaling and rail safety systems, track switching equipment, signal systems circuits, and other electrical equipment; and performs related work as assigned. Troubleshooting, analyzing and isolating malfunctions, conducting inspections, testing, modifying, maintaining and repairing signaling equipment.
