• Enforce all current Yellow safety SOP, DOT/OSHA and HAZMAT guidelines as required.
• Oversee all Relay operations; Mainline,Sleepers,Intra and Intermodal.
• Directly/indirectly supervise 80+

union employees per 12 hour shift.

• Plan Intra operation while dispatching 40+ drivers in and out for the Chicago area.
• Planning/dispatch outbound loads from EOL's across 5 states and 14 locations.
• Ensure time critical and service sensitive shipments are dispatched in a timely manner to insure on time delivery to customer.
• Answer and readjust issues a driver may have throughout his shift/run.
• Communicate with multiple departments/terminals to ensure fulfillment of equipment needs.
• Investigate and report all incidents involving HAZMAT, company equipment or individual accidents and/or injuries.
• Track, plan and coordinate the timely movement of time sensitive freight in and out of Chicago.
• Consult with inbound/outbound operations management team to effectively close loads to meet critical dispatch schedules.
