Being an elite high school athlete in soccer and ski racing (State Champion in slalom skiing 2020) taught me about discipline, character and team building. My freshman year at NMU was during the Covid pandemic and the varsity ski team did not compete. I felt that a formal university based education was not for me and I came back to Petoskey the fall of my sophomore year. I became a server at a local restaurant and worked hard for a year while deciding what I wanted to do for my future. My father has his pilot's license and I realized in time that being an airline pilot would be a great fit for me. I enjoy interacting with others, love to travel and am disciplined in stressful situations. I have done extremely well at ATP Flight School and anticipate being finished late July. I hope to secure a job in a regional airline to gain more flight time and enhance my skills.
I started my own business my junior year of high school selling burgers and hot dogs on the sandbar on Crooked Lake. It was Northwest Michigan Health Department Approved. I ran it for four summers and became known throughout the community. I learned a lot about business management and dealing with the public.
