Additional Information

Facilitator and coordinator of the San Joaquin County Youth Leadership Academy. A youth driven program that was established in 2000. A five week program that teaches high school students the basics of the Criminal Justice System and career paths within the field. Students engage in lectures and interactive experiences. Along with introductions to many facets of the Criminal Justice system students are taught life skills, community engagement, leadership skills and personal development. In addition to managing this academy I have established the San Joaquin County Youth Leadership Academy Board. This board consists of 14 graduates of the program that participate in marketing, creation of future academy's and community engagement. Currently I am in process of creating a curriculum for a San Joaquin County Academy geared to middle school students.
