Responsibilities:
I assisted Dr. Wirth with a research project on the extent of ostracism’s (being excluded and ignored) aftermath on social pain, psychological needs, and affect. My responsibilities included literature review, helping conceptualize the research project by contributing my ideas to how a study should flow and appear to participants through an online platform (Qualtrics), data analysis, and interpreting and processing the results.
I presented research twice at Ohio State Newark's student research forum, a well as at the Midwestern Psychological Association (MPA) in Chicago in 2023.
Internship
Forum Ohio – Columbus, OH
August 2022 – December 2022
Supervisor: Kate Yoder
Responsibilities:
I completed 128 hours as an intern at Forum Ohio, a forensic psychology office. I shadowed multiple psychologists while they administered psychological testing including IQ, memory, and personality assessments. I also observed multiple competency evaluations and mental status examinations. For all assessments, the age range varied from young children to older adults. Additionally, I assisted in writing record reviews and helped with administrative duties.
