Serve as a unit leader and front-line behavioral health professional responsible for fostering a safe, therapeutic, and trauma-informed treatment environment.

Promote teamwork and model emotional intelligence while maintaining professionalism and a patient-centered approach to care.

Utilize crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation techniques to safely manage behavioral emergencies and reduce patient escalation.

Build therapeutic relationships with patients through empathy, compassion, trust, and effective communication.

Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and positive patient outcomes.

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Behavioral Health Technicians, reinforcing organizational standards, policies, and best practices.

Conduct patient safety rounds, behavioral observations, and individualized supervision in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.

Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and communicate significant changes in patient condition to the treatment team.

Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills to maintain a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented milieu.

Uphold organizational standards of behavior, service excellence, and high-quality behavioral healthcare while supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

• Responsible for conducting safety checks and ensuring that supervision is conducted at 15 minute intervals, as noted in special precautions, or in accordance with individualized supervision guidelines as needed. Document timely, accurate and appropriate clinical information in patient's medical record. Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for patients, significant others and staff. Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to nursing staff. Oversee and/or assist patients with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, meals, hydration and changing bed linens.

• Supervise and/or provide assistance with activities of daily living. Assist resident in mobility and transfers. Documents care provided, noting unusual or significant changes in physical, mental or behavioral conditions and report changes to supervisor immediately. Assists Residents with medication administration, assistance with Self-Administration of medication, and document administrations on the MOR as directed by the Nurse Manager. Participate in residence activities and social programs. Encourages independence to Residents. Comply with all Resident's rights and confidentiality. Provide effective communication to caregiver at the adjacent shift to encourage a continuum of care.
