  • Examine tax returns to assure taxpayer return information is complete, accurate, and compliant with Iowa Tax Code. Correspond with taxpayers and field staff to address discrepancies or incomplete items, and to respond to questions and explain applicable rules and regulations. I have been proactive with new Department of Iowa software (Impact). I have a strong understanding of the software and have been helping other department staff resolving issues that they are having. Discuss with other Examiners on processes that are to help resolve issues with processes. I have worked with additional work group, Forms Group, which does an annual review of tax forms and instructions that are provided for the upcoming tax year.
