Even though our campaign ended with a second-place finish, the 2016–2017 Ayala Park Major Soccer League season was personally unforgettable. Based on the league committee’s evaluation, I was awarded the Season MVP, an honor that recognized individual consistency, impact, and leadership throughout the year rather than just the final standings.
The award reflected performance across the full season — match influence, reliability in key moments, and contribution to the team’s overall success. While we fell just short of the championship, earning MVP in a highly competitive league was a meaningful validation of the work put in on and off the field, and it remains one of the proudest highlights of my playing career.
