Summary

Firetrol has provided me with the knowledge and tools I have needed to excel in my career; this in turn has made my choice of staying with Firetrol, until I retire, an easy decision. I feel like moving into this new role shows my long term commitment to this company. It is my hope that Firetrol would, in return, offer me this position at a wage that reflects my hard work and dedication over the last 20 years, and has earned me the right to make what I would feel is competitive to our market. Basing this new position off of our contract PM's wages is, in my opinion, not comparable to this current position and my salary should be adjusted to the current market of our inspectors wages.

Work History

Salesman

Firetrol Protection Systems, Inc.
04.2022 - Current
  • My roles as a salesman, while beginning off a little slow, I have been able to bring in around 30 new customers that are not named Parkland.
  • One of my primary goals as a salesman, was to get Firetrol in the door, to do contract work for Parkland. While not the required vendor, I have been able to get us on Parklands list of preferred vendors. We are currently the only fire protection company on that list! I now have GC's reaching out directly to me. This is due to my relationship with Parkland's Life Safety team, as well as us knowing the structure of Parkland's specs, for fire alarm systems.

Fire Inspector

Firetrol Protection Systems, Inc.
01.2014 - Current
  • During my time as an Inspector, I have performed Inspections that range from small CVS's, to one of the large hospitals in DFW.
  • My last 6-7 years as an Inspector, I served specifically 2 customers. My primary Inspections were at Parkland Hospital, including 26 off-sites. The other large customer that I served was the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
  • My time at Parkland grew into a larger role, and eventually became the account manager and salesman, as the main POC for all their fire protection needs.
  • When Firetrol lost our TXMAS, we came very close to the edge of Parkland moving on to a different vendor. It was in part, my efforts of maintaining the relationship with the customer, as well as our Inspection team, that helped Firetrol keep this large account of which we now have a 5 year contract.

Fire Alarm Installation and Service Technician

Firetrol Protection Systems, Inc.
04.2003 - Current
  • In my early career with Firetrol, I started out as an Installer/Serviceman. I Installed systems that ranged from basic sprinkler monitoring packages, to large projects where I oversaw quality of workmanship, meeting deadlines, customer satisfaction and overall efficiency of projects. I ran crews as large as 10-15 men, which included Firetrol employees, as well as temp labor men.
  • As a service man, I have worked on a multitude of various different panels, as well as attained the knowledge from my company to perform that work, at a level that has made me a leader in the eyes of our field peers.
  • During this time as an Installer/ Service man, I also learned how to communicate affectively, as well as specifically, to Firetrol customers.
  • In my time as an Installer, I also had a large customer, as well as a GC, reach directly to my District Managers to let them know of the great work we provided them.
