Lead Driver duties Include but not limited to, Ensuring drivers depart the warehouse in a timely fashion.
Assist drivers with load , equipment , and minor mechanical issues.
Enforces policy and procedures, and address safety concerns.
Covers routes when needed either physically or adjusting drivers, freight, etc.
Operates Tractor trailer, straight truck and parcel truck to deliver freight.
Spot trailers to doors.
Prepare trucks and trailers scheduled for PM.
Answers emails , and phone calls.
Inventory of shed supplies, equipment,components.
Champion Trainer Duties: Include but not limited too, conducting training classes such as Defensive driver course, Pre trip inspection, Hours of service. Presenting at Driver quarterly meetings.
Coordinating and assigning driver trainer, tracking and monitoring new hires throughout training cycle, Maintaining Good rapport with trainee, providing assistance, and point of contact.
conduct road tests for applicants.
Oversee selection and training of driver instructors.
Provide remedial training post accident , Hours of service violations.
Provide Electric power jack training to trainers and new hires.
Conduct safety audits on drivers and vehicles and address infractions.
Conducts safety course in yard training.
Prepares, and instills safety presentations using power point, safety procedures, policies, safety plans and training programs to mitigate accidents and injuries.
