I started as an officer working with computers at the Cape Girardeau Police department. I moved to the cities IT department and have worked as a network engineer since 2015. We are a small department so I have had to cover many different roles from basic helpdesk to programming, installing, and maintaining switches. As a city we have many different departments with a variety of different needs. I have had to learn and adapt our network to these variety of different needs.
I started as a patrolman and ended as the Sergeant in charge of Media Relations. I was the computer/technology person for the police department. I worked with the cities IT department on the various different systems we had at the police department.
