Javier Meraz

I decided to pursue Mechanical Engineering because it has been something I have been interested in since I was a young boy. Throughout the years, I have expanded my knowledge via engineering classes in middle school, high school, Purdue, and practical life experiences. I have realized I enjoy innovation and design in technology the most. Something I can envision myself doing is innovating mechanical systems for automobiles to continue advancing our work towards eco-friendly design in brakes, engines, and batteries. My dream is to design green cars that are mechanically innovative, aesthetically pleasing, and financially accessible to the general public without compromising quality. I look forward to collaborating with other engineers to make a difference in people’s lives and our environment.
