  • The ownership changed after my sophomore year, I collaborated directly with the new owners to set up systems and processes for running the stand. They entrusted me to manage their 15-20 new employees. I trained new employees on operational processes, confirmed sale amounts daily, and managed inventory and various business operational purchases.

Affiliations

  • I ran Varsity Cross Country for all 4 years of high school. I ran track all 4 years of high school, 3 of them being varsity. I ran in th 4*4 placing 4th at state. I played varsity football my final 2 years of high school. Though I played varsity football was difficult because the first time I ever played was my junior year of high school.

Accomplishments

  • I was invited to the Lions Club International Youth Exchange, an exchange student program to stay in another country for 3 weeks. I was the only student invited to travel abroad from my school and a total of 6 students were invited in my entire city.

Certification

  • Drivers License (can also drive a manual), Boating License, Scuba License, and currently working on Pilots License.
  • CPR certified

Service

  • I served at Reflection Ministries, a nonprofit that helps stop human trafficking and houses formerly trafficked women. I was appointed student leader by the faculty. I helped organize events, educate the community, and help fundraise for the ministry. I have 103 volunteer hours.
  • I was a camp counselor for Opportunity Tribe. Opportunity Tribe is a nonprofit helping underprivileged kids that cannot afford fun summer activities. I continued to mentor 2 campers post-camp throughout the school year. I have 250 volunteer hours.
  • I regularly attend church and youth groups. I volunteer for children's ministries, and various other community events including neighborhood outreach, Young Life fundraising, and feeding veterans.
  • I have a total of 637+ volunteer hours.

Leadership

  • My senior year of school I was elected Vice President of my school. I aided the president in assorted meetings, helped coordinate different committees and events at the school, and met with school faculty on student and school issues.
  • I was selected Service Coordinator of the National Honors Society by my fellow students. I helped plan various service opportunities and plan what nonprofits to donate to.
  • I was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and attended the New Mexico encampment. I became a Cadet Airman First Class with 240 service hours.
  • I was selected for the Congressional Youth Advisory Council for the 11th District of Texas with Congressman August Pfluger. We discussed various current events and problems the U.S. was facing. He would give us his input on what he thought about the situation and how or what he was trying to solve the problems. He would ask for our opinions and thoughts on each situation.
