Animal husbandry of customer laboratory animals (mice and/or rats) within Isolators. Work with various breeding schemes to set up and maintain breeding colonies. Sext/Wean litters, restrain animals and perform biopsies via ear punch for genotype. Perform health checks via fecal samples. Establish accurate inventory of animals. Maintain constant communication with Management and Vet services regarding concerns. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/ protocols. General housekeeping to ensure clean/sanitary work environment.

Animal husbandry of mice, rats and pigs to support the research department of our Medical College. Clean, water and feed animals. Provide needed enrichment. Daily monitoring for health issues, new litters and over crowded cages. Maintain proper records for animal census, room ventilation and supply orders. Ensure animal room is stocked and maintained to ensure the success of our research department
