In the last 3 decades I gained experience leading and managing a high-volume preoperative holding area, providing comprehensive preoperative care including patient admission, documentation, IV insertion, and assistance with regional nerve blocks. I demonstrated expertise in coordinating safe and efficient patient transitions from preop to the operating room in a fast paced high-stakes environment, requiring strong prioritization and multitasking skills. In 2014, I transferred to Syosset Hospital with 130 colleagues as part of a department relocation. Prior clinical experience includes medical-surgical nursing, oncology, surgical intensive care, and postpartum care.
During the COVID-19 pandemic I also served as a Flex-Staff nurse, administering IVIG, infusions and monoclonal antibody infusions. (Bamlanivimab). I am highly skilled in IV insertion and therapy, including access and management of infusaport devices. I am recognized for my strong work ethic, clinical competence, and professional accountability.
