undefinedI am CompTIA A+ Certified. My IT position at CVS required me to come in at 2 AM and get the buildings engine started back up, I took care of all IT related issues on my own from 2 AM to 6 AM when another IT colleague would come in. My SA (Systems Administrator) did not come in until 7 AM. I was never late the entire time as I knew how important my position was to the success of the building's operation. My duties not only required the IT knowledge to fix IT related issues, I was also responsible for preparing that day's work load, which I used WMS to set up all the order picking for that day, this included printing off the tickets the Distribution Center workers needed to fulfill all orders from 3 large SATO printers (which I also had to maintain). This includes all CVS stores under our Distribution being Front Store and RX. We also provided Distribution to Minute Clinics, Target, Schnucks and UPS direct shipments that did not go on our trucks. I also had to take Excel spreadsheets and turn them into useful spreadsheets that the Shipping Department used to setup up which trailers were to be used for each store and the workers used to know what store they were loading into that trailer. I also had to prepare a multitude of reports using Microsoft Access for each department and top Management and have them ready and sent out by 6 AM. During this time I also had to maintain the RF equipment the workers checked out to do their jobs plus make sure they were checked out properly with Microsoft Access. I had to setup ODBC Data Sources, fix user's Microsoft Access issues to the database, fix Bit Locked computers, setup audio/visual equipment, services all types of printers and more. I can honestly say I did an excellent job for CVS, you can see that on my performance review. I’m very proud of my work done for CVS.
My Life:
I have been building computers for 29 years. There is not much I can not due on a computer, whether software or hardware related. I ran my own computer company for 4 years from 2000 to 2004 while still working full time at UPS. I had several small businesses that I maintained. Not only did I maintain them I also built their server, computers and networked them together. In the early 2000's many small businesses did not have computers set up in their company, I came in, built their systems and trained their staff how to use them and associated software specific to that company while being their only IT person. I ran a Linux Server from my home for hosting a Website Server with Apache and a Gaming Server. I built the Gaming Website the old fashion way of manually entering in the HTML format. My Gaming Server was very successful and got listed in several online sites as one of the top Servers to play the game on along with having a Website for the game. I started working with computers early in my life, used to set down with magazines and put in the code to a Commodore 64 just to play games as a kid. My Senior year in High School we finally got a Computer Class. I did so well in that class, I helped the Teacher in teaching other students and got an A+, which I thought you could not get, but I did. I'm sure I can make an excellent addition to your IT Department.
