Currently in a school program called,"Promise Scholarship", that provides lots of opportunities to get involved with the community. Some examples of the activities they provided and I attended was an "Environmental Beautification" event. It involved cleaning up the river and park from litter, and allowed some students to help freshen up the park with repainting the gazebos. Another event that took place was a college tour that was showing current dual-enrollment high school seniors and rising dual-enrollment juniors the different buildings around campus and the multiple programs. I spoke to the rising juniors about what to expect when starting dual enrollment in high school.
