This project contained several complexities ranging from obtaining traffic control permits within WSDOT right of way and encountering existing field-fabricated OD steel welded bends.
• Assisted in delivering the 2017 expanded City Pavement Management and ADA Program for reconstruction and preservation, including delivery of innovative preservation options such as microsurfacing. These projects had challenging timelines and required extensive public notifications, closure coordination and responsiveness.

Oversaw and managed 15 or more public works employees in operational maintenance functions, delivered three major transportation and utility capital improvement projects (CIP) and other maintenance and capital improvements for wastewater treatment and collections, stormwater, water treatment, water distribution, streets, parks, facilities and fleet.

Developed highway geometrics utilizing CAD modeling tools to generate surfaces and end-area quantities. Prepared Hydraulic reports, Erosion and Sediment control plans and developed environmental drafts for documentation and permits.
• Construction Inspector Role: Performed inspections for conformance to WSDOT standards and specifications for quality control, complete daily reports, estimates and oversaw daily traffic control management to ensure public and worker safety. • Developed, implemented and published a WSDOT Mini-VE Study process with AASHTO in 2007 with a focus on reducing overall value engineering study costs and problem-solving solutions for single function challenges.
• As the lead Project Engineering Manager, coordinated to successfully deliver a high priority, accelerated schedule emergency repair project for the Skagit River Bridge failure project on I-5.
• Delivered over 20 large multi-million dollar and small-scale state highway projects through the full life cycle from scoping through design into construction, while meeting major milestones and budget.
• Coordinated with Fish Passage & Wildlife Biologists to deliver the design and construct a first-time Wildlife Habitat/Fish Passage project for the WA State Wildlife & Traffic Safety Highway program.
