I am currently providing assistance to employees that have concern of EEO relates issues. Reviewing complaints ensuring equal employment opportunity is not being abused on the premises of TDCJ. Review policies and procedures ensuring Human Resources employees are followed. Ensuring employees are provided with proper information if possible command. Speaking with employees face to face or via phone to help solve their issue or concern of the Agency. Conducting investigation of complaints and ensuring employees are being helped under a Command referral paperwork (EAP). Work involves Microsoft Word and software’s with TDCJ such as CMS, mainframe, and outlook. Participates in the administration of the Employee Relations intake processing program assisting employees in complaint resolution; and ensure compliance with equal employment criteria, state and federal laws, and agency policies and procedures. As one of the six case managers I prepare offenders documents such as Social Security cards, Personal Identification cards, Birth Certificates, job fairs, and resources to their counties to get them prepared to parole from the Texas Department Of Criminal Justice. Go forth on the Huntsville unit daily to release offender for parole, detainer’s, or flat discharge ranging from 40-100 offenders. I explain to the parole offenders their special conditions, parole office, when to report to parole office, and make sure they understand and then they sign their certificate as well as myself signing. Explain to offenders voting rights, protective orders, and general conditions of parole. When needed to I will strap offenders monitors on their ankles and explain to the offenders there stimulations of their monitors for parole. Monitor offenders at the bus station verifying all offenders that need bus tickets receive them as well and monitor offenders until appropriate bus arrives making sure all offenders are accounted for getting on the bus or leaving with family. I have experienced using OIMS, OnBase, Mainframe, and scanning parole certificates into proper folders. I also signed offenders out with their parole certificates to ICE explaining their rights if not deported out of USA and offender who were going on detainers to any county or out of state detainer.
