Staff Nurse

• High Risk Antepartum Provide specialized care to pregnant women with high-risk pregnancies. Manage patient assessment, treatment, and coordination of care. Collaborate and communicate with interdisciplinary team to optimize maternal and fetal outcomes. Educate patients and families on high-risk pregnancy management. Advocate for patient needs throughout the antepartum period.
• Labor and Delivery Provide specialized care to women and newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period while offering support, monitoring, and emergency intervention as needed. As a circulating nurse, manage patient care outside of the sterile field during cesarean sections. Maintain patient safety and support the surgical team.
• OB Triage Evaluate incoming obstetric patients for maternal and fetal well-being through in-person triage. Review medical history, symptoms, and risk factors. Collaborate with care team to determine the urgency of care required and assign patients to appropriate L&D, antepartum, or postpartum units. Liaise with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely referrals and appropriate interventions.
• Charge Nurse Oversees patient care and manages nursing staff during a shift, ensuring efficient unit operations and high-quality patient care. Monitor patient conditions, prioritize care, ensure proper documentation, and facilitate communication among the healthcare team. Provide direct patient care when needed, assist with complex procedures, and ensure adherence to clinical standards and hospital policies. Address staff concerns, resolve patient care issues, and ensure smooth unit operations during the shift.
• Preceptor Provide hands-on training and guidance to newly hired nurses or staff transitioning to new units. Oversee the daily clinical activities of the preceptee, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, ethical standards, and organizational policies. Foster critical thinking, autonomy, and confidence in new nurses. Encourage reflection on clinical experiences, facilitate problem-solving, and support ongoing learning and career growth. Assess the competence, skills, and professional behavior of new nurses. Provide constructive feedback, evaluate performance, and validate that the preceptee meet the required standards for independent practice.
