· Working closely with revenue cycle leadership, owns the Revenue Cycle Vendor relationships, ensuring optimal financial relationships as well as the accountability that service level expectations by the vendor are clearly stated and consistently achieved
· Responsible for the data quality of all inputs to the system that involve eligibility, authorization, billing, and collections. This includes, but is not limited to, set up of new payors and charge masters.
· Maintains the departmental budget for assigned accounting unit. Reviews monthly financial reports to evaluate trends in total cost to collect, ensure that costs are within budget, and develops strategies to pursue efficiencies that lower total costs.
· Plays a key role in governance of vendor relationships to ensure that Company needs are prioritized and service delivery is cost-effective
· Builds successful stakeholder relationships with revenue cycle, IT, and business leaders by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and ensuring the efficient and effective systems support for business needs.
· Leads the team that supports revenue cycle systems across all service lines and includes any outsourced revenue cycle relationships. Provides oversight and guidance to individual team members, and continues to foster professional growth.
· Serves as a key stakeholder and subject matter expert to many enterprise level projects, identifying the role that revenue cycle plays alongside operations, compliance, finance, and information technology. Ensures an open and effective line of communication between internal stakeholders and within the revenue cycle leadership team.
· Establish and maintain a constancy of purpose, focusing on continuous improvement within the Sr. Director’s area of influence and deliver highest degree of quality service.
· Establishes departmental goals and objectives in conjunction with Revenue Cycle Leadership and the SVP Revenue Cycle to ensure continued departmental developments and to assist in achieving company goals
· Collaborates with other leaders to define the clinical data requirements of our patients across the organization and helps coordinate the advancement of clinical information systems to satisfy these data requirements.
· Oversees and executes the educational sessions with clinicians and operators on all system upgrades. Applies information technology to Medical Education in order to assist the office staff and clinicians with use of all EMR capabilities
· Oversees system integrity for all service lines through routine upgrades and management upgrade process.
· Supports the Company’s acquisition strategy by ensuring system readiness across all service lines
