· Perform various skilled duties using hand and power tools (Main Breaks, Taps, Tie-Ins, 3/4"-2"Service Installation, Hydrant Installation, 2"-12" Pipe Installation, Gate Valve Repairs.)

· Set up street barricades and function as a flagger for traffic control

· Identified water service line leaks to make the necessary repairs on the City side of the meter or communicates to the customer of leaks on the private side of meter

· Located and raised buried meter boxes for Meter Readers to gain access

· Replaced old meter boxes and lids

· Turned water service on or off as requested by the customer or Water Meter Shop

· Acquired current meter reads as requested by the customer, Water Metering or Customer Service

· Respond to customer concerns such as; high bills, taste and odor, proper chlorination or possible air in the water lines

· Installs and monitors water sample station locations and records all data

· Respond to after-hours emergency calls
