Fifteen years in the heavy construction trades. Working from the ground up on Underpasses, Bridges, Dams and Hydro-Electric facilities. Experience with loaders, excavators, rollers, backhoes, rigging and crane operation. Also, extensive knowledge of concrete layout, forming and finishing.
This is a concrete company I started with my brother. We set string and graded most of our own work on this project. As well as poured curb and gutter. The market is getting saturated and prices are dwindling. We decided to get out and come home.
Duties included Forming and pouring 10 foot walls. Layout and grade were part of these duties. Ensuring excavators were "ON" and per print. The Terraces project in Boise.
As a managing foreman involved in all stages of Hydro-Electric construction. Dealing with Government offices and inspectors. Creating schedules and making sure construction was complete and to code. Also, working along side other employees either in a piece of equipment (crane, excavator) or inside a powerhouse putting together turbines and generators.
Duties included: Pile driving, Welding new work bridge, setting up bidwell concrete paving machine, loading trucks with excavator, crane, loader. Concrete forming and finishing. Assist in layout and grade using survey equipment. Rigging for crane
Residential and small commercial concrete buisness. I owned and operated until market collapse. We did foundations and flatwork. Meeting with owners and builders, bidding small jobs, payroll and in the field; excavating for concrete, forming and finishing.
