Dynamic attorney and former State Senator with a proven track record in criminal justice reform and community advocacy. As a former attorney and state legislator, I excelled in legal drafting and stakeholder engagement, successfully leading a statewide campaign for a constitutional amendment while providing pro bono services to ensure equitable legal access.
I hope to use my legal experience, legislative experience, and campaign experience to make significant reforms in our criminal justice system and provide individuals impacted by our justice with an opportunity to flourish as leaders in their family, business, and community.
The list of experiences listed on this resume do not include my indictment, pressured guilty plea, two-year incarceration, and an unconditional pardon from President Trump. This latest experience with the criminal justice system has turned the desire I had in the Senate for criminal justice reform into a life-long passion to see our criminal justice system become a restorative system not a retributive system.
I began on the trading floor as a bond trader and then moved into the banking side of the business where I underwrote and structured municipal bond offerings for municipalities, schools, and states. I left this job to attend law school full time.
