Performed 21 point inspection on all trailers brought in for service or repair. Documented all findings and problem areas to service management to get approval for repairs from customer. Duties included repair or replacement of equipment and or parts found to be damaged or defective. Welding of broke frames and other areas where welding was required. Customize old and new trailers for individual customer needs. Replace hydraulic systems to include, pumps , lines , cylinders , valves and various electrical components. Repairs or replacement of any and all suspension components to include custom modifications to suit customer needs or request. ie… custom made lift kits, air bags system, upgraded springs and larger axles. Change tires of various sizes and ply ratings., wheels etc…. Wiring repair and diagnostic testing of all electrical equipment and components on the trailer to ensure proper and safe operation and meet DOT regulations. Performed trailer inspections to be signed off on by management. Replacement of of couplers and hitches as well. My duties included repair and modification of trailers from basic to custom , from small trailers to large 40 ft container trailers.
