As a Second Lieutenant with the Memphis Police Department, I serve as a frontline leader committed to public safety, community engagement, and the professional development of officers under my command. I oversee daily operations, ensure policy compliance, and support strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and integrity of law enforcement services in the city of Memphis. My primary role in the department centered on the management and allocation of resources for special events, the management of dignitary protection teams, personnel training, and time management.

Accomplishments

    I have served as a sworn law enforcement officer in the state of Tennessee since 2009 as an employee of the Memphis Police Department. In addition, I served in a multiple roles ranging from uniform patrol, crisis intervention officers, sergeant, and 2nd Lieutenant as a first line supervisor. Moreover, beginning in 2015 my assignment has revolved around executive protection under the special operations division. My primary responsibility is centered around event planning, risk assessments, and installing mitigative measures to prevent or reduce specific consequences associated with known or unknown hazards in the community. Outstanding accomplishments include the development of an operations plan for multiple inauguration events associated with administration changes following local and state elections. For example, Mayor's inauguration parade, 12-28-2023, Inaugural Gospel Concert 12-29-2023, and the City of Memphis' official inauguration of elected officials held on 12-29-2023 inside the Cannon Center Event Center.

Martin Luther King Jr. 50th Award

On April 4, 1968 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in the Memphis, TN at the Loraine Motel. On April 4, 2018 the city of Memphis honored the legacy of Dr. King by hosting an several events that include Mason Temple where Dr. King gave his last, "I been to the mountain top" speech, the Civil Rights Museum, Clayborn Temple Church, and local American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) union, which represented the purpose of Dr. King's visit to Memphis in 1968. The event attracted over fifty thousand participants honoring the life of Dr. King. My role throughout the two day event was to provide executive protection for the son of Dr. King, Martin Luther King 2 along with his family and key staff members.
