Publicity Worker

  • Coordinated the marketing for the American Indian Studies program and the Native American Student Coalitions events. This included creating and planning websites, flyers, and digital signage which appeared around campus.
  • Managed student databases for student graduation, dropout, and retention data for the program coordinator.
  • Also assisted with event set up and tear down, including setting up booths, putting up the teepee for certain events, and getting the speakers podium and layout organized.
  • Managed younger workers in the office and assisted them with their jobs when needed.

  • Traveled about once a month on and off to Dr Roberta Pauls homestead. Included assorted labor such as hauling old farm equipment, weeding and clearing out foliage, and cleaning out scrap from around the homestead.
  • Assisted with her yearly coordinated burn piles. Taking scrap lumbar and weeds and chopping it down to burn.

  • Verified geographic data from older maps and added historical information on the geographic history of the Nez Perce.

Event Assistant

  • Worked as an event assistant for the AICC to raise awareness about the working families tax credit.
  • Involved traveling around the Spokane area on weekends to set up a booth during events such as Pow wows and festivals and hand out flyers and set appointments for people who qualified for the tax credit.
  • Monthly events at the community center had our team helping people fill out the application, this included people who learned English as a second language or those who didn't understand their taxes.
