My future plan is to become a Pediatrics nurse, throughout my college career I have developed a passion to be involved with the education and well being of children. By becoming a pediatrics nurse, I can provide care and ensure the wellbeing of children while also providing empathy to their families as well. Receiving my bachelors from Texas Tech as a first generation student has opened so many paths for me, and my ultimate goal is to receive my BSN from Texas Tech as well.

Vice President and Treasurer

With the leadership roles of Vice President and Treasurer I was able to develop a scholarship disbursement for scholars who demonstrate science excellence

-Hosted fundraisers, as well as events for the community to display science experiments

Shadowing at Covenant Hospital ( 2024)

-Shadowed a nurse in the Nephrology floor, and received insight to what a shift as a nurse could look like

Volunteering at P.E.T.S Clinic (2023-2024)

-Provided care to animals coming in to the clinic, such as nail trimming and baths

-Was able to see basic surgeries on animals

-As a member, I was able to learn more about nursing as a career, and help with community service events in town

-Learned more about the Physician Assistant career, developed connections with students interested in healthcare as well as helped with volunteering events
