- At the New Mexico Healthcare Authority I collaborate with other members of the Information Technology Division and state staff to troubleshoot, monitor and optimize the performance of our server and network infrastructure. On a day-to-day basis I leverage my experience and knowledge of networking, server virtualization, cloud technologies and their underlying interdependencies to solve complicated problems and make design decisions.
- I work extensively with my team and I am skilled at utilizing the strengths of other team members to complete projects, implement new solutions and build the skillsets of everyone involved.
IS Generalist III

- As an IS Generalist III, I was responsible for monitoring, maintaining and upgrading county IT infrastructure including Cisco Meraki networks, Domain controllers, virtual desktop infrastructure such as Dell Wyse Management systems, Hyper-V servers and server clusters as well as on-site SANs and fileservers. I engineered and deployed new networks using multiple technologies including site-to-site VPNs and wireless point-to-point links to remote facilities such as county-owned golf courses and fire stations.
- I coordinated with local ISPs to ensure site-to-site VPN connectivity with our remote facilities. I monitored the network and server backup infrastructure daily. I have configured and deployed backup solutions using NetApp SANs for our Hyper-V infrastructure with Veeam Backup and Replication to protect our virtual and physical servers as well as hundreds of end-user VMs. I helped administer our O365 and Azure hybrid environment and regularly configured and deployed new network and cloud resources such as SharePoint sites and virtual machines. My position required quick response to almost any IT issue that arose through our helpdesk ticketing system or through our monitoring of our IT systems.
- My team and I responded to the globally-catastrophic "Crowdstrike incident" immediately, getting 95% of our computers back online by that Monday morning.
Bench Tech, Field Tech, Systems Administrator

- NetForcePC is where I got my start in the IT industry by getting hired on as a bench tech while working towards my A.A.S in Computer Science. I learned quickly how to efficiently and effectively troubleshoot and resolve any hardware or software problems on customer computers including operating system repair and malware removal.
- My skills and quick-learning were recognized and I was promoted to performing server configurations and deployments, assisting with helpdesk tickets and was given ownership of several clients to be their primary point of contact for IT issues and projects.
- Worked closely with numerous clients, remotely and onsite, including local banks, accountant offices, oil and gas companies, non-profit organizations and a variety of other businesses in the area. I was exposed to many types of networks of varying size and complexity.
- Responded to emergencies including RAID array degradations and network outages. I was routinely deployed onsite to resolve issues and perform routine maintenance for customer networks, servers, and computers. I developed and honed my skills in customer and team communication and documentation of procedures.
