I have experience in a little bit of everything. Between working in healthcare and in real estate, I have become skillful in working with clients and understanding their needs, networking with people in adjacent fields to grow business, as well as some admin work. I am pretty well rounded in my knowledge and experience which I believe makes it easier for me to adapt and be an asset to any environment.
As a Veterinary Assistant in the Emergency Dept, I would triage and TPR incoming patients to assess urgency in treatment, I would assist Doctors with exams and sedated procedures as well as stay on top of scheduled treatments for out and hospitalized patients. In addition to those things, I would make sure the treatment area was stocked and cleaned. I'm proficient in blood draws, placing IV catheters, retraining cats and dogs, SQ, IM, IV and PO drug administration, and running lab work.
I worked with my team to help book and manage over 120 short-term rentals all over Georgia. For 2024 we had a goal of breaking into the midterm space, so I started to research, connect and cold call as many people as I could to learn more and build the right type of relationships. I would also manage incoming leads on potential fix and flip projects by running proformas on each potential acquisition and working with my directors to make an informed decision on strategy for specific properties. I also worked on-site at our projects to gain insight and knowledge on what work needs to be done, how to do it, and would assist the construction team and agent with ordering materials for our on going projects.
As the assistant manager, I would place job ads and conduct interviews on all potential candidates for the kennel and for the front desk. Each month I would generate our monthly reports, help keep employee accounts current, and keep track of hospital profits. In addition to that I would monitor for surgery, assist the doctor in appointments, draw blood for labs, fill prescriptions for patients, and help with client's questions or concerns regarding their pet's health or their experience in our office.
