Collect blood samples via venipuncture, centrifuge specimens, separate and store serum/plasma as instructed depending on tests, verify patient identification, keep records and schedules of daily work flow.

• Morning collection, training new phlebotomists, communicating with other departments for cluster care or any questions regarding draws.

• Blood draws, collecting COC drug screens, stock supplies, order of draw, communicating with nurses and other departments about patients if needed.
• Lead Lab Tech Assistant- Process send outs, covered call outs or PTO requests, communicated with LTA’s on floor about assignments and draws, ran reports for upper management and training.
• Supervisor- Monthly schedule, order phlebotomy supplies, maintain office supplies, find coverage for call outs, process payroll, 6 month and yearly competencies and evaluations, Ran phlebotomy numbers and other reports, billing for patients and for outside labs in regard to send outs, new hire and orientation.
