One hundred forty-four clinical hours in cardiac telemetry, working one-on-one with preceptors. Medical-surgical tasks focused on cardiac patients, cardiac medications and interventions, and ECG interpretation.

One hundred fifty hours in the medical-surgical unit, working one-on-one with preceptors. Tasks included patient care and education, medication administration, head-to-toe assessments, wound care, repositioning, and charting.

Skills included dismounting, mounting, and repairing tires according to manufacturer specifications. I also repaired punctures by locating leaks, removing embedded objects, and patching holes. I quickly learned and applied new skills to daily tasks, improving efficiency and productivity.

Demonstrating respect, friendliness, and willingness to help wherever needed. Performing duties by applicable standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines to promote a safe working environment.

Skills included answering call lights, supporting patient comfort and safety by adjusting bed rails and equipment and promoting good oral and personal hygiene by aiding patients with shaving, bathing, and tooth brushing. Taking vital signs and electronically charting them. Assisted with feeding and monitoring intake to help patients achieve nutritional objectives and evaluated patients to identify and address wounds, behavioral concerns, and medically relevant symptoms.
