Flow Back Operator

PLK
07.2013 - 12.2015
  • Flow Back Operator- Manage the, plug catcher for plugs, sand catcher, manifold, separator, oil and water tanks, flare. Once oil starts flowing out you will have one input on the separator and 4 output functions, which are gas, oil, water, and a belly dump for any sand. Oil and water will separate by gravity and stay separate with help of chemical injection, the gas will naturally escape through the top output on the separator, leaving the sand having to be manually dumped at the bottom of the separator. There is a variety of pressures and levels (for ex. Differential, Static, Tubing Press., Casing Pressure, Flare Rate, temperature etc.. to be kept up by recording them into a log every 15, 20, 30, or 60 minutes depending on what is being done with choke or how high the pressure or levels are. Dumping of the oil dump on the separator is required by hand if the oil is getting too high to prevent oil going into the gas output which goes to the flare. All the Gas, Oil and Water have Manually Operated Bypasses or Manual Dumps. The operator must keep track of all oil, water being hauled off and gas either being sent to a sales line or sent to the flare. Manually release off gas, oil, water and sad either to the pit by using the gas pressure. This is done so no pressure is caught in between the lines when the rig down process begins, then any left over gas caught in the separator, manifold, sand catcher etc.. will be flared or released to prevent and avoid ignition or high pressure release in the rig down process.
  • Rigging up/Down- this procedure requires a lot of physical work, such as hammering with a sledge hammer or picking up heavy pipes. A variety of tools and materials are used that include but are not limited to, fork lifts, booms lifts, cranes, sledge hammers, wire brushes, nylon straps, pry bars etc. Inventory is also part of this skill, keeping track of the expired pressure tested pipes. In the yard there is a lot of repairing valves or chokes, manifolds, plug catchers etc. organizing, breaking or rebuilding.
  • Flowback Operator Reports- must send in Cover Sheet, Spread Sheet and Daily Report. Each of these has a different time to be recorded and sent varying from 6, 12 and 24 hours. No errors are permitted in any kind of reports due to engineers making decisions based on any numbers involving gas, oil, and water.
  • Pressure testing- Testing iron pieces for faulty or weak iron, rebuilding plug valves, check for expired test on iron pieces in the field, load/ unload mono-rail, stock update iron ready for use, separate damaged or expired iron, inventory, hot shot requests.

Cooling tower Technician

Amertech Tower Services
03.2011 - 06.2013
  • Rigging up/down – A lot machines including forklift , boom lifts, penetrating, cutting, and lasers are used to build the structure. This part of the job is mostly done by hand, by Climbing, Fabricating and Installing Wood or Fiber Glass studs using nuts and bolts.
  • Installing- The main objective of this structure is to place large turbines with electrical motors, torque tubes, gear boxes, hubs and pitch blades in a way that when they are all on they act as a cooling mechanism for water used in big industrial plants,
  • Inspections- All the mechanical components checked for torque values and for any loose vibration to 1 thousandth on an inch for inspection. A variety of inspections have to be passed, which also again included drug test by HAIR-FOLLICLE followed by safety, anchoring, levels, turbine blade pitch %, Bump test motors, check Soft foot of motors, and check torque values, damaged material etc..
