  • Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop was my family’s franchise, which began in June 1976 in Wilmington, DE. It is not a family-owned business anymore, however there are a few stores still owned and operated by a member of the Capriotti family, and my store is one of those.
  • I began working in my mother’s stores (she had 2 Capriotti’s in Dover, DE) when I was much younger, and I grew up learning the business. I was fortunate enough to buy one of her stores in 2018. Job overview

In my 16.5 years at the YMCA, I worked in many aspects of child care - the Kid Zone room (babysitting), teaching gymnastics and tumbling classes, overseeing youth activity events, and the last part of my time at the Y was spent as Child Care Registrar. I also worked at the front desk - which entails all areas of member services - at the beginning of my time there and towards the end as well.

The YMCA did a clean sweep of almost everyone I worked with over the years, and no one who is currently employed at the Dover YMCA was employed while I was, but I can provide references if needed.

I left the YMCA in October 2018, after I bought my restaurant in September 2018.
