During the service corps project our goal of the project was to create a prototype/application based on ideas made from two Dallas IBM/AT&T sponsored high schools (P-Tech). The project idea was developed using the IBM Design Thinking methodology and workshop that took place during the previous school semester. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being utilized to help students understand how to use the technology to accomplish their individual projects.
Additionally, the project was intended to help students improve learnability of certain subjects, increase the distance-level school ranking and use Watson to make chat bot. During our Service Corps project, I was able to create a chat bot for high school students to receive help and support from AP teachers. The Watson chat bot was also used to bring closer relationships with students and teachers. With students being able to reach out to teachers with no judgement and teachers being able to reach out to students. During our deployment along with my cohorts, we were able to create a cloud account and an open source project for students at Adamson High to continue to create chatbot for future access.
