Currently working as a part-time contractual Project Consultant due to being retired. At the time of retirement, had obtained thirty-five (35) years of service and had become a very successful upper-level manager with the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction. This includes more than twenty-five (25) years of staff supervision, managing projects, budget approvals and community relationships. By starting as a correctional officer, promoting through numerous supervisory and management position and working in both the male and female populations, gained and developed a wealth of knowledge in the programs, classification and overall operation of the correctional facility. Always willing to assist as needed, it allowed skills to be obtained that were needed throughout the entire career.
