Dynamic hospitality professional with a proven track record at Farmer Browns Steak House, excelling in customer service and revenue management. Skilled in inventory management and staff training, I fostered strong customer relationships, driving sales and enhancing guest experiences. Recognized for operational excellence and maintaining high standards during peak periods. Three words that best describe me are versatile, dependable and honest.
In a small town of 450 people in northwest Kansas, just south of the Nebraska state line, the population doubles every weekend. Hundreds drive as much as 120 miles from the tri state area to dine at Big Eds Steakhouse.
I was one of four permanent servers there for two years. From superior customer service to surviving chaos, I thrived in this "sale barn" style environment being the most requested server in the thriving business. I made several friendships and consider the 2 years spent employed there some of my fondest memories.
I would have loved to remain there, but the need to relocate to eastern Nebraska became a greater priority.
The only place to stay within a 60 mile radius, the Circle B Motel has 18 rooms.
My brother in law purchased the motel in 2018 and offered me a job in 2019. Within a month I had developed a cleaning routine that operated smoothly turning over rooms and increasing sales. I managed the entire business from all phone calls, reservations, cleaning, laundry, management of day to day operations, purchasing, collections and invoicing. During COVID, I maintained the motel without incident or closure. I set record numbers for sales for over 12 consecutive months for this motel that has been open since the 1950's.
Under my management, the Circle B Motel became known as the cleanest motel in the tri state area. I did all of this while raising two high school kids in sports.
In small towns, people often hold multiple responsibilities in one position of employment. As an emergency medical dispatcher, jailer, Vin inspector and Notary, I managed the Sheriffs office under the Sheriff's authority and supervised 3 other employees in the dispatch department. I obtained required certifications and training within the first year of hire to better serve my community and employer.
