As a previous employee of SSM Monroe I am already acclimated to the buildings and departments in the buildings. I have already established relationships with several of the employees at SSM. I am familiar with the policies and procedure of SSM having worked for them for 7.5 years.
I process soiled linens, by sorting and washing linens that come in to be cleaned. After going thru our washing machines they are dried then folded . They are then placed in a clean store room. In the mornings clean linens are distributed to the hospital and clinic departments. I use varied machines in my daily work . Such machines include large commercial washers, hot oil ironer with connected folder, Commercial dryers, and steam tunnel to take wrinkles out of lab coats. During my day i lift large bags of linens, carry stacks of clean linens, bend over carts to lift clean and dirty linens, as well as reaching and pulling linens from dryers.
In my role as CNA I took care of a paraplegic. I handled numerous home care services for a patient in her home. I was responsible for medical needs as well as assisting with all home duties, such as preparing meals, administering medications, and assisted with all aspects of daily care.
Assist nurses with patient care in hospital setting.
