Responsibilities included educating, advising, and training safety engineers in global regulations as well as accompanied witness officials during Type Approval certification for these regulatory areas.
Provided crashworthiness engineering support for numerous vehicle platforms. Lead Engineer project responsibilities included development of methodologies in analytical simulation used for predicting and optimizing occupant protection. Analytical methods incorporated both nonlinear finite element analyses as well as lumped parameter modeling. Later generated test plans and conducted testing methods to support numerical analyses. Documented findings and developed best practice methods used in determining corporate restraint system evaluation considerations.
