I graduated in 1999. I spent some time working odd pier and boardwalk job in Ocean City Maryland while I preformed music as a busker, and bar musician at night. But I was always serious about having a day-job to pay me while I had my fun with music at night.
It took very little time for a childhood friend to rope me into a 2 year position I hlld as a lube tech. It paid $6.25 per hour, no raises, no promotions, and I was very good at my job while they treated me that way.
My motivation to perform tasks for others was slowly destroyed by these kinds of employers wasting my time. The only good that came from most of them is the experience I got from them.
I spent most of my time working for others as a roofer, first as labor, then a mechanic. Also with no raises, or promotions. He was the straw the broke the camel's back with me. A wife beater and bully, and I've been running my own business ever since I worked for him
I learned by watching doctors on videos online how to produce a sterile work area, how to produce and work with agar petri dishes, and working with mycelium, cultivating and colonizing my mediums.
